This project is an ukiyo-e woodblock print work that combines the worldview of ``Chainsaw Man'' based on ``One Piece of the 108 Heroes of Popular Suikoden - Changjun,'' a masterpiece by Kuniyoshi Utagawa, a genius ukiyo-e artist from the late Edo period.
Zhang Shun, who is depicted in the original work, is depicted as a heroic figure who can run freely through the water, full of dynamism. The composition cuts through the raging waves, exaggerates the muscles, and fills the body with power, the ultimate in dramatic production unique to Kuniyoshi. In this collaboration, the dynamism of blood and water splashes is likened to the battle with the typhoon demon in the movie version, creating a new heroic figure.

Kuniyoshi's exaggerated physical expressions and excessive energy have a surprisingly strong affinity with Chainsaw Man. The delicate colors created by traditional ukiyo-e carving techniques and the sharp tension created by the chainsaw blade.

Ukiyo-e is a traditional craft representing Japan. However, the entire industry is currently in crisis, and the number of craftsmen who have inherited this traditional technique, which has been around since the Edo period, has shrunk to just a few dozen people across Japan.
While we are focusing on training young people, the fact is that our production volume, including raw materials, is decreasing day by day, and the number of employees is decreasing.
Together with the current craftsmen (illustrators, carvers, printers) who are trying to pass on this ukiyo-e woodblock printing technique to future generations, by combining traditional techniques with ``Chainsaw Man'', we hope to have people all over the world learn about the goodness of ukiyo-e from a new perspective. We will continue to preserve this world-class culture that Japan is proud of and contribute to its development.

We continue to make the ``Echizen Raw Paperback'' that has been passed down from generation to generation in the Echizen climate.
``Kizukihosho'' is a type of Japanese paper that is made from kozo (Japanese mulberry tree) and is backed by Japanese tradition and history.
This time, we used the ultimate washi paper, which has smooth brushstrokes, is used for ceremonial paper for Shinto rituals as well as printmaking, and can withstand the pressure of hundreds of woodblock printings.100Years later,200We chose this company with the hope that it will continue to exist even years from now.

Ukiyo-e woodblock prints begin by separating the woodblocks by color based on the design and carving them out one by one. As you can see, it is a series of horrifyingly precise work, and even a deviation of just 1 millimeter has a huge effect on the entire surface, and the fact that the carving is completed without any deviation is truly the result of the craftsman's years of training.
We continue to carve everything by hand, including not only the outline, hair, and figure, but also the background parts that do not appear in the title or color. Due to the use of such delicate woodblock prints, all ukiyo-e prints can only be produced in limited quantities because they can chip or break during printing thousands of times.

After graduating from high school, he applied to become a craftsman apprentice at a craftsman development support project in Arakawa Ward, Tokyo, and became an Edo woodblock carver.7Became independent after years of training. Currently, as one of the few female traditional craftsmen certified by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, she is contributing to the inheritance of the culture of ukiyo-e woodblock prints with her outstanding skills.
