[[SECTION: ■Resonance with “Gachiakuta”]]

“Gachiakuta” tells the story of Rudo, a boy who fights his way upward from the Pit, a world consumed by discrimination and inequality, toward the Sphere. Its powerful message—that even in the harshest environments, the world can be changed through human hands and the feelings they carry—continues to captivate readers and viewers around the world.

Meanwhile, since its founding in 1973, BIKO GIKEN Co., Ltd. has devoted half a century to the passionate pursuit of polishing metal. The company wanted to bring the exceptional polishing techniques it had developed behind the scenes of industry into the spotlight as a form of “expression”——an aspiration that resonated deeply with the theme at the heart of “Gachiakuta”: breathing life into objects.

AKIHABARA PREMIUM COLLECTION was founded on the concept of “fusing AKIHABARA culture with the craftsmanship of Japanese artisans.” Under this concept, the “METAL ART PANEL” was created to embody these 2 spirits within a single panel.

[[SECTION: ■About the Product Designs]]

Each product features a polishing pattern that elevates the individuality, Vital Instrument, and narrative themes of one of the 4 main characters.

The characters and logos are printed without transparency, while the “Vital Instrument” portions are deliberately made transparent, allowing the polished surface beneath to show through and capture the light as it shines. This creates a truly unique artistic expression found nowhere else. The base polishing pattern differs for each design, allowing all 5 variations to stand independently as individual “works of art.”

【Rudo】 Polishing Design: WaveSpin Random

Rudo, the protagonist of “Gachiakuta,” is a boy who embodies the themes of “discard and regeneration.”

The polishing expresses a “surge” of intermingling emotions attempting to regenerate into something entirely new.

The strength and determination born from chaos radiate through the brilliance of stainless steel.

【Enjin】 Polishing Design: ReverseScale Spin

Enjin is a character who acts as a shield for his companions and embodies the responsibilities of a leader. This design translates the sense of protection and shelter offered by his Vital Instrument, an “umbrella,” into a “circular” polishing pattern.
Quiet strength and unwavering determination reside within the orderly brilliance of its circles.

【Zanka】 Polishing Design: FanScale Spin

Zanka is a character of two contrasting sides, possessing a rough exterior while caring deeply for his companions. The design evokes the pointed end of his Vital Instrument, a “sasumata (man-catcher),” through a “fan-shaped” polishing pattern.
Combining sharpness with expansion, the design expresses Zanka’s compellingly contradictory nature.

【Riyo】 Polishing Design: AngleSpin Random

Riyo is a character with a rationalist mindset and cool judgment. The design resembles the interlocking handles of her Vital Instrument, a pair of “scissors.”
Its beautiful, streamlined lines embody Riyo’s precise worldview.

Since its establishment on July 5, 1973, BIKO GIKEN Co., Ltd. has grown into one of Japan’s leading companies in technical expertise by establishing metal “polishing” as a form of design. The company now possesses more than 100 different polishing patterns.

Its one-of-a-kind technology, capable of precisely controlling everything from a material’s patterns and textures to the way it reflects light, transcends the realm of industrial products and has opened new possibilities for artistic expression through this “METAL ART PANEL.”
